Romeo is the one to blame because when Mercutio and Tybalt started fighting, Romeo got in the way, which distracted Mercutio and then Tybalt got under Romeo’s arm and stabbed Mercutio. Then Romeo says “ Draw, Benvolio; beat down their weapons. Gentlemen, for shame! Forbear this outrage! Tybalt, Mercutio, the Prince hath forbid this bandying in Verona Streets. Hold, Tybalt! Good Mercutio”. Then, after Mercutio got stabbed and died, Romeo says “This shall determine that!” to Tybalt. When Romeo came in and started fighting Tybalt, Romeo killed Tybalt on the spot. Then Tybalt falls. After Romeo killed Tybalt, he was banished by the Prince, which made Juliet upset. So, then Friar Laurence and Juliet had a plan. Juliet was going to take a potion that made her appear dead. She also did this to get out of marrying Paris, which she was forced to marry him. In the morning after Juliet took the potion, the Nurse found her in her bed “dead”. After everyone found out about her “death”, they had her funeral on her wedding day, because everyone else was there at the wedding. After the funeral, Romeo met an apothecary. Then Romeo showed up to her tomb, which Paris saw Romeo, and Paris tried fighting Romeo. Paris started threatening Romeo, which made Romeo say “Wilt thou provoke me? Then have at thee, boy!” So they started fighting. At one moment, Romeo struck Paris. Paris then goes to say “O, I am slain! If thou be merciful, open the tomb, lay me with Juliet!”. So, that’s what Romeo did. He put Paris in Juliet’s tomb. After that, Romeo drank the poison, which killed him moments after he drank it. Then, Juliet woke up from the potion, saw Romeo dead, then kissed him, hoping there was poison still on his lips. There wasn’t, so instead, she saw his dagger, took it, and stabbed herself with it.
