In my discussion I will prove to you that Tom and Daisy are careless people who break things and people then pick up and leave to retreat to their wealth and let other people clean up their mess. They don’t care about other people but themselves , status and wealth . Like how Daisy promised she would wait for Gatsby to come back from war then they would get married , she didn’t wait for him she moved on to a rich guy like Tom after she said to Gatsby :”rich girls don’t marry poor guys” which proves to us she’s insensitive and careless about his feelings and only dates guys based on wealth and status .
