In 1859, John Brown and his five sons decided to attack the armory at Harpers Ferry, fighting against 21 trained soldiers. In the 36 hours to follow, four men including John Brown were captured and two out of his five sons were killed. On December 2nd, John Brown was hung and found guilty for his crimes. So, why did John Brown attack the southern armory? He attacked because of his extreme passion of abolishing slavery, also know as an abolitionist. John Brown had wishes that he and most of humanity wanted to see come true, but he wasn’t stable at all. He was defiantly was a madman.
