When we were all younger, most of us had an idea of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Whether it was a firefighter or president, we all had our future planned out. But once we got older and entered high school, plans changed. For me personally, I changed my mind a couple of times before I made a decision about what I wanted to do with my life. I decided that I wanted to go to Parkland College and get my degree in Dental Hygiene.
The environment at an orthodontist office is often very happy, energetic and lively. With this kind of environment you will tend to have happy patients. To be able to pursue my dreams to become a orthodontic assistant would be a dream come true. This career makes me happy as a person and is something that I would never get tired of doing. I am very passionate to put smiles on patients faces daily, and seeing them become happier and wanting to smile more.
People always ask me “What do you plan on doing after High School “. My response is always “I Am going to become a dental hygienist “. And I say that statement with confidence. A Dental Hygienist is a licensed dental professional who specializes in preventive oral health. That means they clean a lot of yucky teeth, however dental hygienist is also able to perform other jobs like giving local anesthesia to patients, taking x-rays for the dentist to see and giving advice on how to prevent negative oral health issues.
The career field that I have chosen to go into is the medical field. In the medical field I would like to become a dental hygienist. The background that I have on dental hygienist is that you exam gums, clean teeth, and teach about oral care. The research that I have already done on this profession is a dental hygienist annual salary and required hour of work. Some more research I utilized is how many years of college are needed, what you do while at work, and if you work by yourself or who you work with.
Being a hairstylist is mentally and emotionally exhausting. I could 've easily went to college and done something different w my life, something that makes a lot more money. But I didn 't because this is what I want to do! Not because I 'm unable or not smart enough. A good job doesn 't make you better than the next person.
Future Career As A Dental Hygienist For as long as I can remember becoming a dental hygienist has been my dream job. My best friend and I always said we would open our own dental hygienist office together. Although we were so young and most people's interests changed, mine did not. This career would offer me a challenge but also be able to manage the work with places to have personal growth.
The career that fascinates me and what I plan to be when Im older, is a Dental Hygienist. A dental hygienist is a stressful job, but it helps a lot of people. You are helping people get better teeth and even look better, because when people have straight pretty teeth, they seem to have an upgrade in their looks. I haven’t always wanted to be a dental hygienist, I had many other career choices. But, something about making people smile when I’m the reason they look good doing it makes me happy.
In the cosmetology field, there are so many different viewpoints interested individuals can be looking at to help decide if they should go through this particular’ field. Any individual interested should be looking at every available aspect on the field they would like to start a career in. So many people think it is easy to become a nail technician but do not fully understand what a technician can go through every day. I have always enjoyed the art of cosmetology because it helps bring out people's features, makes them feel more confident, and there's always different looks for everyone. I remember when I would get my hair done, being so intrigued by the art that came from it. How changing the color of someone's hair can change there whole look, or how a simple haircut can bring out certain face features. When I first started doing hair and makeup, I was not very good, but the more I kept practicing the better I got. On the other hand I have always been pretty good with doing hair.
Most people my age have a passion for playing sports, but my passion in life is a little different than most. I grew up living on a farm and being around cattle ever since I could walk has been apart of my life, which brought me to one of the reasons why I have a passion for showing cattle. People often wonder why I love showing cattle so much and what the point of it is, but there are so many reasons why I have grown the love for it. It is so easy to take for granted all the everyday tasks we can do and we seldom consider the effect of not being able to complete them. As an occupational therapist I would be able to make a positive impact on someone’s life and make it possible for them to enjoy their life. I want the opportunity to provide support to people, help them gain independence and watch them grow more confident in their own ability.

I am well-driven and focused when it comes to something I have a passion for and in my case, it involves the medical field. I believe that I am the type of person that sets goals and does not rest until I achieve them. The fact that I know this career takes a large amount of dedication and hard work only motivates me more. Although becoming an Anesthesiologist can be considered a career path which is difficult and time consuming, I know I can prove others wrong and show them that I can have such a career. This specific part of the medical field holds more than importance to me, it holds my childhood dream, and somewhat of a sentimental value.

The . passion grew stronger and stronger as I study Biology and Chemistry in A-levels. Studying these two subjects has opened my eyes and given me large insight into the workings of the human body which revealed to me indirectly that the body holds many secrets that are yet to be discovered. This alone is enough to excite me! Due to my compassionate and caring nature, I have participated in various activities these few years. I, together with my friends in school organized a carnival to raise funds for the needy.
