Explain Why Movie Theaters Should Not Put Age Limits To Movies

The famous spanish film director Luis Bunuel once said, “Age is something that doesn’t matter unless you are a cheese.” I believe that movie theaters should not put age limits to movies. Age limits are not used in the right way in a lot of time and from the internet kids already know about a lot about a lot of disturbing image that a movie may have. It doesn’t help to cover kids from exposure to words, images and others. Sometimes it may even hurt the kid for different reasons that I will be talking about. So these are some of the reasons the age limits should not exist. To start off the kids are exposed to all sorts of disturbing and inappropriate imagery. Because of the internet the kids can access any sort of image or video. People say that it is bad but not getting exposed to it makes a even more negative expression to them. The kids are not only exposed to the inappropriate images by the internet but the kids they are close to. And those kids may have been exposed by movies. And since movies are so interesting nowadays, even if the movie is rated R, the movie can be very interesting to young aged viewers. For example when Deadpool hit the theaters, lots of kids had watched it not knowing that it was so inappropriate. If they weren’t exposed to it already they would have had a bad expression on the movie. …show more content…

But the 16 year old has a license that comes with a greater responsibility than just watching a movie. Sometimes even a movie that has a topic of a PG movie can be rated R. those mistakes lead to the movie not being able to make money sometimes. If the parent or guardian doesn’t feel like letting the kid watch the movie, maybe a kid that is really someone that can handle the responsibility can’t watch the movie because it is a day before their birthday. Now that doesn’t happen very often but it is a very annoying
