Trampolines should not be banned. You can take your own risks Trampolines do cause 95,000 injuries in 2012. Thats 260 a day. but About 1,000 people jump on a trampoline each day.
OUCH! I strongly disagree. Recently school principals banned dodge ball at schools in Elk ton, Maryland. They banned it because the teachers thought it was violent and inappropriate. The principals banned it by taking it off the curriculum.
The young men, referring themselves as the Zephyr Team, had developed a routine of surfing in the morning and skateboarding in the afternoon as a leisure activity. However, the story turned historical when during that period, a drought struck in the region and they could no longer engage in the surfing. Further, the drought led to drying up of the swimming pools, and this led to the inception of what became sensationally referred to as vertical skateboarding. Indeed, the case of the conversion of the abandoned swimming pools in the uptown neighborhoods in Santa Monica from their ideal use into skating areas presents an instance of adaptive re-use. Indeed, these young men, with their desperate need to skate, took over what were certainly important structures among the wealthy in Los Angeles and converted their usage to fit into their
The book "Captain Underpants" by Dave Pilkey has been banned in some schools and libraries in the USA due to its perceived use of offensive language and promotion of disrespectful behavior. The purpose of the ban is to protect children from potentially harmful content and to maintain a certain level of decorum in educational institutions. One of the main reasons for the ban is the use of offensive language in the book, particularly the use of the word "stupid" and other similar terms. Some educators and parents believe that this type of language can be harmful to children and can promote disrespect towards others.
Youths should not be banned from dodgeball, cheer leading, and football. One reason why kids should be allowed to play dodgeball is that not only does it teach them god eye coordination and many other mental and physical skills but, many kids enjoy having the challenge of going against someone or even that going against someone bigger. I do not think kids should be forced to play dodgeball just because it gives them good mental and physical skills but, I do think other kids who do enjoy a challenge should be allowed to. Author Rick Hanetho, founder of the National Amatur Dodgeball says, “The game allows kids who are not good athletes to participate in a team sport.” (171).
The first reason why I believe that dodgeball shouldn't be banned is because if it is banned, it will lead to more soft children in America. The reason dodgeball is being banned in some schools is because overprotective parents are worried about their kids being humiliated or injured. In the article titled “The Weak Shall Inherit the Gym” by Rick Reilly, it states “I know what all these...parents want. They want their Ambers and their Alexanders to grow up in a cozy womb of
With the recent debate of dodgeball being banned in school or not, I thought I would give my opinion on this topic and weather dodgeball should be banned or not. My opinion is that dodgeball should be banned because it is not a appropriate for school. Here are a couple of reasons why dodgeball should be banned. One of my reasons that Dodgeball is not an appropriate for school is that Dodgeball does not meet the P.E standards for schools. In most P.E classes all the students must be physically active, but once you get hit by a ball the students sit out until a new game starts.

Winter is a time when a child is happy; he does not need to worry about school, only about the abundant free time at hand and what Santa will bring him Christmas morning. These winter playtimes include sports such as hockey, ice-skating, and sledding. For years, children have taken joy in playing these sports, but now they are in jeopardy of loosing this playtime to city ordinances that ban sledding. (“Should Cities Ban Sledding”) Recent lawsuits in Illinois have resulted in ordinances banning sledding in over forty-four of its parks (“Should Cities Ban Sledding).
Skateboarding has been on this planet since the 1950’s and was considered more of a men’s sport. This statement is false though, anyone can skateboard if they put their mind to it. The question is, around what time frame did women start to stand up for their right to skateboard? And what actions are they taking today?
Thousands of women have competed in the Olympic Games since women were first allowed to compete in 1900 (Olympic.org). When women first earned their right to compete in the Olympics, they still had to fight and regulate the games to be allowed to compete in all sports. 2012 was the first year that women competed in all event types offered in the games (Olympic.org). Almost 150 athletes participated in the Women’s Figure Skating events alone in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Figure skating was originally the first and only sport opened to women in the Winter Sports (Timeline: Women in Sports).
Sport in high school shouldn’t be taken away because it allow new students to make friends a lot easier. If we didn’t have sports in schools then there wouldn’t be professional sports anymore because the kids won’t be able to practice and not every kid has money to buy a ball or net and basketball hoop. It helps the student’s grades in classes because if they have low grades in one class they can’t play the sport so they try their hardest to raise the grade so they can play the sport. This is why I think they shouldn’t take away sports in high schools.
One of my favorite skateboarders of all time and actually giving me the reason to pick up the skateboard in the first place would have to be tony hawk. Okay so you’re probably telling yourself well you’re just saying that
SKATEBOARDING Why do I love to skateboard? When I was twelve years old I had a good interest in skateboarding and it looked like it was a fun cool active sport. The first professional skateboarder I looked up to was Nyjah Houston he was an amazing professional skateboarder on element skateboards.
Nowadays, in some cities, we can witness some children are learning roller skating on squares. And for them, it seems like to be a new habit. However, as roller skating has been wildly accepted, there are some disputes about whether roller skating is a innocent toy or serious threat. In my opinion, although roller skating is defined as a extreme sports, it won’t threat others life so easily. And with full preparation, roller skating is a safe sports even for children.
