Teachers are in control of the next generation, the generation that both improve Australia and world, so why do teachers not get paid enough?

doctor gets paid $100,000 a year to save a life, why does a teacher not get paid more to save the future?
Being a teacher is a tough job, dealing with students five days a week, early mornings and late nights, working sometimes up to 12 hours a day and having to deal with the fact that they get paid minimal for the work completed. Furthermore teachers are important, they will both help make a next generation smarter and more prepared to create a better future, as well as enhancing their students’ life skills that all thriving adults need to survive in the real world. In the mining industry their workers get paid between “AU $90,000” to “AU $140,000”. A lawyer gets paid on average “AU $50,000” to “AU $120,000”. As for a dentist they get paid on average between “AU $56,000” to “AU $170,000”. Compared to these high paying jobs, a teachers wage is not that astonishing. In addition teachers have to support themselves financially and for most of them they also have their families to support as well. Nonetheless the cost of living is high and teacher’s minimal wages are just not going to cut it. Yet, teachers still manage to go to work every day with these minimal wages, hence why teachers deserve much better
