“Clarity” ~Zedd (ft. foxes) Act 2 Scene 3 R&J As the song starts with a rather hopelessness tempo we enter the first line that goes as “High dive into frozen waves where the past combes back to life” This line makes me that we are going back in someone's memories. After this line it goes “Fight fear for the selfish pain, it was worth it every time” I believe this means that despite the fears they have and how their love was selfish their love still triumphed. The second to last line comes with a more hopeful tempo the line starts as “Hold still right before we crash ‘Cause we both know how this ends” I think this relates to the balcony scene which happens before this scene where Juliet says Romeo should be quiet as both of them know if he is caught he will be put to death. The final line is “a clock ticks ‘til it breaks your glass and I drown in you again” This makes me believe that their is only a few moments left before something happens this can be related to future events of the morning of Romeo’s banishment or also Juliet’s waking. …show more content…
