In the song “How to Save a Life” it shows us how one man tried to save a friend. The song was basically about a man who sees a boy who was losing his entire friend and he was going through depression because of it. That boy lost his best friend and didn’t know how to deal with the lost. The adult in the song explains how he confronts the teen. The singer says that he was unable to save a friend because he didn’t know how too. The singer says in an interview that it was “Most personally relevant songs he has ever wrote.” It is still fresh in his mind. The songs shows us the worry, care helplessness of a friend. The song shows us that people will try everything even though it is worthless. You should listen to this song because people are going through the same situations as you are. Before they became famous they would sing in Denver Colorado churches. Slade is 24, Hoe is 25 and Ben is 21. In the spring of 2002 Slade and King formed a band together. Later they added Slades younger brother Caleb. Later on Caleb was asked to leave the band. Caleb and Slade had a rift in their relationship because of it. The rift inspired the song “over My Head.” Slade wrote that about he’s brother’s relationship. Later on they added Ben as their lead guitarist. The Band came up with “The Fray” from a piece of paper.
