Imagine this: You come home after a hard day of work, you open the door and you hear and see nothing but furniture. You sit down in sadness because of your job and nothing and nobody is there to be with you. Nothing makes you happy about coming home and you actually dread coming it. Would you like a world like this? Most likely not. This would be your life if you didn’t have a dog. Dogs always make you feel warm and welcome when you come home and are always there to give you a slobbery kiss or a happy face. Not only do dogs make coming home better, but the reasons why you should own a dog is because they can improve your health, they can make anyone happy, and dogs can strengthen human relationships.

In one survey, 70 percent of families reported an increase in family happiness and fun after they bought a pet. Just seeing your pet roll around or wag it’s tail or even just cuddling with you can always make a stressful day ten times better. Dogs always can tell when you are sad and always make an effort to get you out of that. They kiss you or put their head on you and just brighten your mood which a lot of people cannot do for you.

The last reason why you should own a dog is because they can strengthen human relationships. People with a bond to their pets are proven to have stronger binds with people because they have more courage and more experience with bonds because of their dog. It is proven that if you have a stronger bond with your pet then you will be more likely to take on leadership roles and be more confident. Having a loving relationship with your dog can also make you more willing to new relationships and experiences you would not normally
