These are the definitions of power. Power is an interesting topic, and it will bring many opinions from each person. People like to discuss this topic with questions like, “How do I get power?”, “How do I use power responsibly?”, and “How much power is too much power?” Many people like the concept that everyone can get powerful. It seems to happen like a natural instinct. It means people can get confidence, pride, and maybe even some money. There are some ways to obtain power. Stanford business professor Jeffrey Pfeffer enlightens people with fifteen facts that assist in receiving power. One of his tips is “Don’t believe everyone needs to like you.” Many political people with power are hard to put up with, yet, they are the ones to get voted for time and time again. Another tip is “Don’t be afraid to ask for advice.” Even the most powerful people on this earth has or will ask for opinions on what to do in big decisions. However, people who receive power tend to need more to be satisfied, and will not be satisfied until they reach the top. Then the pleasant person becomes less liked after a while. This brings the thought of how to use power responsibly. Since power cannot be controlled, it can be hard to use it responsibly, because power gives the human mind in a drunken-like state. The person in power does inappropriate things and they suddenly have a change in personality and become self-centered. Luckily, there are people who know what to do with their power reasonably and responsibly. They think of the problem (not their paycheck), take a look on all of their choices, and logically try to pick the best option that satisfies everyone.
