Learning is not an easy word to define. It is commonly defined as “knowledge acquired by systematic study in any field of scholarly application”. This is the dictionary definition. In our own words, learning is gaining knowledge or skills. Some people think learning is someone sitting in a classroom and learning from the instructors. Obviously, this is one way, the most common way of learning, but it is definitely not the only way of learning. During and after classroom learning, we should learn from our life everyday. The most famous painter from Spain, Pablo Picasso said before, “I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.” People should learn useful skills during their daily life. For example, people could learn what to buy for their houses from the experiences they went grocery shopping with their parents when they were still kids. From watching and listening, people should pick up small details, which will help their life. It is a process of learning from our own life. Learning how to save money wisely is also something we could learn from those who has great saving habits. Moreover, people could also learn time management skills from their daily life. We will meet someone knows how to make good plans and someone knows how to work in a high efficiency. We could learn from their good habits in order to prove our time management skills. To sum up, all the skills people could learn from their daily life would help us to achieve higher goals in our life. People could learn not only useful skills from daily life, but also how to build their personalities from setbacks and life experiences.
