CHARACTERISTICS OF A MULTINATIONAL COMPANY The company I selected is ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricant one of world largest supplier of fuel and lubricant of base stock the orginization which is opearating in Malaysia. (i) First characteristics i would like to choose is raw material : the type of plant uses are Rotterdam Plasticizers & Intermediates Plant in Rozenburg (Rotterdam Europoort), Rotterdam Oxo-Alcohol Plant (ROP) in Rozenburg and the Phthalic Anhydride Plant (PAN) & Rotterdam Platicizer Plant (RPP) both in Rotterdam Botlek. The Rotterdam Oxo-Alcohol Plant in it produces oxo-alcohol, which are as raw material for the Plasticizers Plant. There seven subsidiaries in Malaysia which is ExxonMobil Exploration, Esso Malaysia Berhad, ExxonMobil Borneo Sdn Bhd, ExxonMobile Chemical Malaysia Sdn Bhd, ExxonMobile Business Support Centre Malaysia Sdn Bhd, & ExxonMobil Services (Labuan) limited. ExxonMobil Malaysia Sdn Bhd operates the Esso which is in Port Dickson Refinery & Mobil service station. In East Malaysia, ExxoMobil Borneo Sdn Bhd manages service station under the Esso brand, this three subsidiaries market lubricants, engine oils, cooking gas & other products. On the other hand, in the chemicals business company name are ExxonMobil Chemical Malaysia Sdn Bhd producing product such as platicizers, butly rubbers, fluids, plastics and other chemical products daily use like paints, inks, varnishes & chewing gum. Thus, ExxonMeobil Business Support Center it’s based on IT firm & provides support across the globe.
