A case where eyewitnesses was very important and helped the criminal prosecution was the trial against Charles Manson. To make the story short, Charles Manson was a man who got other people to murder for him. Charles Manson was a leader of a group called the Manson family, and the group contained young men and women who where lost in life and looked up to Mr. Manson as their leader and like a God. Charles Manson had pointed out several members of his family to brutally murder Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Jason Sebring, Leno LaBianca and Rosemary LaBianca. Manson ordered his family members to kill people when Mr. Manson himself was not present during the crimes. The prosecutors needed to prove Charles Manson domination and control over his family, they needed to prove that Mr. Manson had such control over his family so he was able to make them kill for him. A family member in the Manson family called Lynette ”Squeaky” Fromme became an important eyewitness for the prosecutors side in the trial. The prosecutor brought Lynette Fromme to the witness stand as an eyewitness against Charles Manson in the trial. Ms. Fromme testified about Charles Manson´s role in the family. Ms. Fromme talked about Mr. Manson being a ”father figure” for her and to the other girls in the group, and they looked up towards him. Ms. Fromme´s testimony was important because it was meant to show the jurors what kind of domination and control Charles Manson had over her and the other members of the Manson family. The prosecutors saw Ms. Fromme as an important eyewitness because she could testify and explain how Mr. Manson was as a person and that he had the authority in his family to order his family members to kill for him.
