I’ve always felt the desire to have a purpose in life. What is my purpose for existing? What is the one thing that gives me purpose and meaning in life? That thing is fashion. Fashion is my life. It's not just a piece of clothing. It's my identity. Looking back at where it all started, my mother gave me a pink cardigan. From the moment I laid eyes on the cardigan I was in love. I loved the way it made me feel and the delight I got just from wearing it. The cardigan would make a bad day feel like best day ever. I tried to gain as much real experience as I could in fashion by taking pre-college courses throughout the summer of 2016. I took the Passion for Fashion Styling course at FIT. Throughout the course I knew I could not imagine myself being anywhere but FIT pursuing a career in the fashion industry. While being at FIT, I discovered an interest in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising. While taking the course I participated in a series of assignments that included creating mood boards, and styling a photo shoot with models all coordinating and wearing a particular trend. I also explored the route of being a stylist for a magazine brand by styling a still life and parts model photo shoot. That's when I discovered FIT’s Fashion Business Management major and realized it was the major for me.
