Fahrenheit 451 essay Have you ever heard of a firefighter who started fires? Well, according to the book fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury , the job for firefighters is to start fires and to burn books. In the story, they burn books physically and ideas mentally. Bradbury uses symbolism such as fire to show what will happen if we stop expressing our ideas and reading books. An example of this in the story is Guy Montag. A very naive firefighter who doesn't really know much about the real world, he would follow not lead.
