Final project paper What is a dystopia and how do people live and survive in it? A dystopian society is a society where there is suffering and no rights or rules, where everyone has to fight for themselves. In Fahrenheit 451 you see a dystopian civilization that may have had too many laws. Where in a dystopia like the walking dead you see a no laws dystopia where everyone fights for themself. In this paper I will compare and contrast and explain these two dystopias.
In fahrenheit 451 it is a futuristic dystopia where in my opinion there are too many laws. You see how the firefighters burn books. People weren't allowed to read, learn books. People weren't supposed to just sit and talk, they just wanted them to watch tv. To me that is way too …show more content…

There are communities with walls so the walkers can't get in,but the communities don’t let everyone in. The people have to scavenge to get food and to be able to live. This dystopian society is different from Fahrenheit 451’s Dystopia but they do have similarities and differences. Some differences include that one of them is still humanity, like humans still are in control of the earth. As in the other dystopian society the humans have to fight to stay alive. Fahrenheit 451 still has laws, government etc. that the people still have to follow. The rules there are just different because it's a fictional futuristic society where the laws are different from the laws we have. Another difference is that the walking dead's dystopia is an apocalyptic where there are no laws and the people have to fight for their lives. The similarities are that they are both fictional and the people in the dystopia have to adjust to the lifestyle they have to live. How in Fahrenheit 451 the people aren't supposed to talk, in the walking dead people don't just sit and talk they fight if they dont know eachother. In conclusion the dystopias are both similar and different but mainly different. They both have different rules and lifestyles that the people have to live. That is my paper on Fahrenheit
