Knowledge is power in the world and in the world of Fahrenheit 451. Ray Bradbury emphasises this theme, and in the interview he his theme is that the more you know the more powerful you will be. In the interview with Ray Bradbury he says “Teachers inspire, libraries teach. This shows he believes that a book can teach you, but only a person can make you want to learn. By reading Fahrenheit 451, one can see that Montag disagrees with the laws about the government banishing books and burning which leads him on his search for happiness. This realization is important because

Truth The main reason why Montag is searching is the true reason why books are useless and have to be banned/censored. Montag wants the truth about books, The reason was when Montag saw an old lady set her house on fire along with her books, Thus Montag starts to wonder. Even though his society has said books are harmful he reads them and does not hesitate to read again, even though Beatty said to Montag books have nothing in them he still reads, he rejected his society and is not willing to believe what Beatty says is true. As Montag learns the truth about his fraudulent society, the theme reveals itself to be that knowledge is crucial to prevent an ignorant society. This theme is thrown all around the book and was hard to miss as it was hinted at throughout the whole story, even at the beginning when Montag notices “The whole world pouring down”. The fire gushing up in a volcano. All rushing down in a spouting roar and riveting stream toward morning. ‘I don’t know anything anymore,’ he said” (15).
But now that he sees someone’s life be taken by his enforcement, he starts putting in hard consideration about the very things that are against the laws of his own society and wonders why exactly his society would ban books. How Powerful is Knowledge? As once said by Francis Bacon, “knowledge is power”. In Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, Montag finds out the power that comes with knowledge. Montag receives knowledge, which causes him to question everything he knows, from his happiness to everyone around him. He realizes that virtually the entire population is ignorant and just think that books are a kind of poison.
In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury ,Montag has always gone by the law and has never done anything wrong. But that all changes in this book. When he works as a fireman what can you expect. Who knows what will happen. Who knows how they will change him.
Knowledge is important in order to create diversity and help people stand on their own, In the novel Montag, in order to see knowledge, goes to an english professor named Faber for guidance. The two decided to discuss a plan to get books back into society, when Montag makes a comment about placing books into the firemen’s houses and burning the houses. Montag internally conflicts with himself as he gradually begins to consider what books truly have to offer. The Power Of Knowledge People can rely on literacy and social awareness to help them be better aware and more thoughtful. But when people have neither of these skills it can harm the view they have on their surroundings. Fahrenheit 451 is an example of what would happen if social awareness and literacy were looked down on. In the society where the story takes place in not many are socially aware or can read. This lack of awareness and literacy drives people to take great lengths for their beliefs and wants, this is a problem because they don't think about the consequences their actions will have.
