Modern day society seems pleasant to the naked eye, but when one takes a closer look one can uncover some unsettling things. Our society has a mask of technology and advertisements to make it seem as though everything is perfect. The mask distracts from the problems we do have, and, while not always specifically accurate, Ray Bradbury captures the essence of some of the problems that plague our modern day society in his novel Fahrenheit 451.
