Unit Final Cristiano Ronaldo Cristiano Ronaldo should be able to speak his mind but he shouldn't bash the people that helped him get to where he is today. Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players to this day but people are not fond of the things he has done off the field. Just because he is a great soccer player, does not mean his decisions are great. Ronaldo shouldnt have been publicly canceled for his actions but the consequences he got from the soccer club were very appropriate for the way he acted. Cancel culture is an attack on someone publicly on their reputation by a collective of critics. This can happen to someone if people look at something one has done as disrespectful or disgraceful. People need to be held accountable for their actions and the disrespectful things they may have done but there are better ways to take care of it then canceling someone publicly. In the book, characters would get canceled for the smallest things, just like in the world today with any small mistake a person makes, they get canceled. Ronaldo can relate to Montag from the book Fahrenheit 451 because Montag put himself in the position of being canceled because he didn't try to hide the fact that he had books in his home. The way Montag got canceled was having to burn his home down all by himself. “I want you to do this job all by your lonesome, Montag. Not with Kerosene and a match, but piece-work, with a flamethrower. Your house, your clean up” (Bradbury, 116). This part in the book is a great representation on how Cristiano Ronaldo didn't try to hide the way he felt about his team and manager just like Montag didn't try to hide the books. Cristiano put himself in this position of being canceled and resulted in being kicked off the team just how Montag got canceled for the books and as result, got his house burnt
