Fahrenheit 451 Reflection

Freshman Year Ever since I was little I struggled with reading and writing, and was always behind everyone else. I still am always a little behind but that doesn’t mean I never learn. This year never let me take a break from writing. We always had an assignment to help us work on our writing and reading skills. For my Fahrenheit 451 project I interviewed a firefighter and used his answers to compare thoughts from the book. The process to the project helped me look at different perspectives in a story. We read another book like this at the end of our year To Kill a Mockingbird. This book showed even more contrast in opinions than Fahrenheit 451. And i got to talk about that in my journal entries. The opportunities were simplifly doing your homework and reading assignments. In theses short two semesters we read three books. Each book has its own challenges. I am not a big reading and I probably wouldn't choose these books to read for fun. Fahrenheit 451 was a book that was a little confusing but had a meaningful plot making it enjoyable. Romeo and Juliet is a very old and famous book that I was excited to read, so I could know the tragic story of the couple. Finally the last book we read was To Kill a Mockingbird. This book is a very well known book as well that talks about problems that still occur today, like rape and racism. In the first semester I had good GPA but I knew I could make it a lot better. So after winter break I tried my best to not have late work, take retakes, and take extra credit opportunities. I had a goal to get a GPA of 3.7 and I am happy to say I passed that goal, I am at a 4.0 right now. I did try a lot more when I had a goal and realized what that doing the little thing can help a lot. Something I could have done a little better it take retake when I had the chance. I did take some in Spanish but I barely retook anything in Science, and that is the class I needed too. Another problem was I always procrastinate making it hard to get work done right away. This is a major setback because I do a lot of sports making me very busy after school with minimal time to do homework. For sophomore year I need to work on not being
