During peer review, my peer told me to go into a bit more detail. I did not take her advice and left my paragraphs as detailed as they were.
The Rhetorical Analysis Paper was a challenging paper to write for me, but I believe that it was only difficult because this is my first paper that I have ever written of this style. Despite this I think that I did a good job on this paper; I tried to follow the rubric as I wrote. I believe that I clearly articulated the two aspects of the advertisement that I focused on and how they worked together to convey the bigger picture; however, I did still have some concerns. My biggest concern initially was how to develop a good thesis for this genre of writing since I have never written on this topic before, but I believe I got that issue straightened out. There 's something to be said for the kind of horror movie that while not actually scary, at least in my opinion anyway, remains incredibly re-watchable. Maybe Phantoms is scary, but lost some of the chills somewhere around the twentieth viewing. Strangely I feel that Phantoms may be more well-known from the Kevin Smith film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, rather than for its own merits. Though I do have to agree that Ben Affleck is pretty bomb in this film, he 's not the best performance.
In chapter ten of The Outsiders, Ponyboy is as expected takes the death of Johnny and Dally extremely poorly. He cannot understand how he lost his friends so quickly and he does not know how to process all of it. Since Ponyboy is unable to accept their death he tells himself that they are not dead in order to cope with what has happened (Hinton, 2006, p. 150). Overall, too much has happened so quickly that he emotionally and mentally cannot think about the death of his friends, therefore, he perceives them as still being alive. The Survival Lottery The idea of the “survival lottery” helps maximize the amount of lives that can be saved by doctors. It allows doctors to receive organ donations from healthy people, who are randomly selected to die and donate their organs to medicine, rather than having no choice but to let the innocent patient(s) die due to a lack of readily available organs. The point of the survival lottery is to make sure that as few humans die as possible, hence why it is acceptable to kill one person to possibly save two (or even more). I will argue that is not morally permissible to institute a survival lottery because all people expose themselves to different amounts of risks during their respective lives.
Fake news - a phrase that is frequently emblazoned in the headlines. Scandals, false alarms, and of course, Donald Trump’s “fake news awards”. Clearly, fake news plays a huge part in American politics. But what many Singaporeans fail to realise is that fake news is also a pertinent, pervasive, pernicious and perennial problem in Singapore, and it is a problem that needs a solution. We define fake news as false stories that appear to be legitimate and are usually fabricated for political or financial gain.
