From about fifty BCE to two hundred BCE, the Roman Empire was the Powerhouse for the entire Mediterranean world. In those years, the empire grew with extreme amounts of power. Rome became known as the Superpower of the Mediterranean World. This was until around 220 BCE when the empire began to decline. Rome began to encounter many crises that together allowed the fall of the Roman Empire. Due to Military, political, and social issues, the Roman Empire began to crash. The Decline of the Roman Empire occurred due to many problems. One primary reason the empire began to fall was because of the Military’s laziness. The Military was one of the most successful armies in the world. They wore armor like breastplates and helmets to protect their body from damage. This was until the Military decided that their armor was too heavy to wear in battle. They stopped wearing their Armor, which caused them to be exposed with no additional shielding around their bodies. The soldiers fought without head or chest protection which caused them to lose to the Archers. For years the Roman Empire was a Strong Political environment. Emperors and leaders like Alexander the Great, Phillip II and more ruled the Empire for ten to fifty-five years, until the year 235 CE. During the years 235-285 CE, there were nineteen emperors. The longest amount of years an emperor ruled during this time was seven years. In 238 CE and 276 CE, there were three emperors in one year.
