Rome started to fall during 310, but Rome finally came to an end during 1453 which was the second Rome. There are many theories to the fall of Rome such as barbarian invasions, Inferior technology, political corruption, and many more. Rome had lots of land and a huge empire which could also have led to the fall of their empire. But which theory was it really? The Roman empire fell due to barbarian invasions, political corruption, and excessive military spending. One reason for the fall of the Roman Empire was due to Barbarian Invasions. The Roman army had always been defending the borders but the army started to change. Troops left to go to battle or the army was just losing troops in general. This proves that many of the theories of why Rome fell came from political corruption. Based on this information the Roman Empire fell due to political corruption and excessive military spending. The fall of Rome was also due to the excessive military spending. Maintaining the army to defend the borders of the empire was costly and military spending left few resources available for other vital activities like public housing or maintaining roads. This caused the Empire not to have much money for resources, their citizens, houses, and more things to help their empire. Eventually Romans lost their desire to defend the empire. Also in order to pay for the soldiers the emperors had to raise taxes. This led to decline in moral value because people became poor and lost lots of money. After the Romans decided to give up on defending the empire, the empire became free to anyone and anyone could attack and take over the Roman empire.
