In the early days Liberal art education provided students with information that allowed them to expand their knowledge. It brings a strong foundation for students because it highlights the necessity of science, writing, art, philosophy, and history. These are fundamental to being a well-rounded and successful student. Zakaria touch on that in his book “college sport have become more popular and more profitable for the schools” which I agree with the point view of Zakaria because the most popular sport player don’t know how to count, nor how to set up themselves plane for the long term, so they end up hiring someone else to work for them. It is very important that youth must know liberal art because one day your alone and you will be lost and you will regret for not taking a liberal art, Zakaria also talk about this in his book” No company will be loyal to you, nor can you lock yourself into one place”. America does have the liberal art education even though some educators might think liberal art is wasted of money, and time; this might be true for a small percentage of student but in the bigger picture the public interest liberal art is building the country and educate a new generation. Liberal art education is the best solution for reducing the unemployment rate in this country or for the world in general because it trains, and educate people to become capable to work in all different areas that the society needs. Zakaria appreciate the efforts of America system but he fears of following a different countries system “ America should be careful before they try to mimic Asian educational system, which are still oriented around memorization and test taking” which explain the importance of liberal art education because you want students to think out side the box and always looks at stuff from a different angle; Asian are using the banking concept system for education, which only allowed the student recycle the teachers
