When I was an eighth-grader, sitting in class with a blank sheet of paper and a number two pencil, I never noticed that it would be the event where my passion for fashion would grow. From that point on, I loved to design and sketch fashion models by creating different croquis, or fashion model templates. For every drawing, it became better but also more challenging. The challenge of knowing and having a steady control of my hands was a hard task to handle. Through two years of sewing, I managed to create my very own dress. A dress, where I was able to wear and show off to my friends and family. It took dedication and hard work to turn floral and bold print fabrics into a red strapless heart shaped dress. I was able to be recognized by a great teacher, Beverly Deem, and have the opportunity to join MMU Fashion Boot Camp. For a week, each day, I fell in love with the scenery and the environment surrounding me. I enjoyed being accompanied by the friendly teachers and the students who were striving to also make their dreams come true, to be able to design their heart out. At the end of the fashion week, I created one piece of clothing that I adore. A tank top, which was an ombre fade with the colors, blue, purple, and pink, and with this, I sewed a cute pocket with painted on tribal black and white print. This was one of my top three most joyful times of my life.
