Minority Report What is fate? Are we born destined to great things or we achieve great things from our hard work? Are bound to our destiny, or we write our own destiny? Is our future unchangeable? The movie Minority Report has many themes, such as people aren’t who they appear to be, nothing is perfect, and others. The most important theme of this movie is that our future, destiny, fate is it not unchangeable, it is not written in stone. For we have the ability to choose what path we take in life, we have the ability to write our own future.
John Anderton is the chief of a special police task force, which was formatted with the apparition of the pre-cogs called Pre-Crime. The pre-cogs had the ability to see crimes that happen in the future.

Later on his friend Fletcher says “Don’t do it, Hey don’t do this. John don’t run.” John replies “you didn’t have to chase me”, and Fletcher replies “you don’t have to run” (0:48:29 -0:51:41). On this scene both Fletcher and John made their choices, just like Fletcher said John didn’t have to run, and the other way around is also true Fletcher didn’t needed to chase John. Both of them choose to do what they thought was the right choice, they decided. It wasn’t an order but a decision they made of their free will. As the conversation turns into a fight, Johns manage to escapes his crew. The director used the background sound and many filmmaking stiles in a matter whereas to fill the audience with mystery, suspense and drama thought the movie. The main theme was a challenge to understand in the beginning of the movie, but as the movie moved along towards the end it became clearer and clearer. This movie had many themes some are related to free will, other are moved towards the idea that nothing is perfect.
