I do think that fate is to blame for the whole situation and caused the death of Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeahere tells us that Romeo and Juliet will die, and that their end is fated. “Star-crossed” means “opposed by the stars.” In Shakespeare's time, some people actually believed that the course of your life was determined by the motion and position of the stars. My 3 points of argument: 1. Fate leads to a lot of misunderstanding and horrible consequences. 2 Fate is the cause of Romeo and Juliet's death. No one is to blame because everything happens for a reason. Fate made sure that Romeo did not get the message of how Juliet was gonna fake her death so that she doesn't marry Paris. If Romeo got the message of the fake death of Juliet and Romeo would have not killed himself. Also leading to Juliet stabbing herself afterwards. Act 5 scene 3 page 116 “Go get thee hence, for I will not go away. What's here? A cup clos’d in my true love's hand? Poison I see hath been his timeless end. O churl, drunk all, and left no friendly drop To help me after? I will kiss thy lips, Haply some poison yet doth hang on them, To make me die with a restorative. Thy lips are warm.” Juliet. In act 1 scene 5. Romeo goes to the ball and that's where he meets Juliet. When he sees Juliet for the first time he instantly falls in love with her. If Romeo had not gone to the ball, then he would have never seen Juliet and never fallen in love with her, therefore none of the events would have happened. When Romeo goes to sneak into the Capulets home to see Juliet. He hides in the backyard as Juliet comes outside on the balcony and that is where Romeo overhears her talk about how she was madly in love with Romeo. If Romeo had not gone to see Juliet then he would have never heard Juliet confessing her love. These examples show that fate was the one who brought the two together, if none of these events had happened then no one would have to suffer in the
