While in a horrible place such as a concentration camp, it is important to keep good relationships. In Night by Eliezer Wiesel, he tells the story of his experience at Auschwitz during the Holocaust. He was sent to the camp with his family, but he got separated from his mother and sisters. He stayed with his father throughout his time at the camp, taking care of each other, they fought to keep alive. In the camp, Elie was very close with his father. Elie said at one point that he lived not for himself, but for his father, who couldn’t continue with the loss of his son.
