In Jon Sweeney’s lecture and book, “ When Saint Francis Saved The Church”, he spoke about Francis leading a revolutionary life. There were two points that helped support with Francis leading a revolutionary life. Those points were friendship and poverty. Sweeney spoke about how important friendship and poverty was to Francis. These points helped with Francis learning what kind of person he would be and do with his life.

However, it takes years to become one; and he had so little time left.
Tadeusz Gebethner was not only a great person on the soccer field, but he was an even better person off the field and should be recognized for that. The Gebethner family was a well known family in Poland due to their heavy involvement in the soccer team Polonia. On the field, Tadeusz was the first president of the soccer team as well as the captain of the team. With those very large roles on a newly founded soccer team, Tadeusz integrated minorities into Polonia, even Jews. When Poland was attacked by the Germans September 1, 1939, Tadeusz joined the polish army.

This dedicated businessman is well known for his restaurant called French Laundry. Thomas Keller is a 60 year old chef who had a vision and made it happen. This however, didn’t stop people from seeking him out for advice, healing, and forgiveness as a representative and follower of God. Saint Solanus was known for his miraculous healings and conversions and his powerful faith in God. Saint Solanus showed his compassion for the needy by establishing a soup kitchen still present in the Capuchin seminary today. Even before his death, Saint Solanus maintained a powerful trust and faith in God, showing in his final words “I give my soul to Jesus”.
