I read the book "The Fault in Our Stars" written by John Green. This is a book about a girl who deals with a life threatening situation but battles through it, but she’s not alone! Hazel Grace meets a boy at the "literal heart of Jesus" group which they attend for counseling to help with their situations. Hazel Grace is a keep to herself “I can do it myself" Kind of girl. Augustus Waters is also a member who she meets, he is an amputee. In this book you get to hear about their lifelong journeys as well as their love story. Where Hazel lives there are several of the places people go who have cancer, Hospitals, support groups which is what hazel attends and possibly even each other’s homes to handle with what they are dealing with. Hazel Grace Lancaster is a 16 year old cancer patient who deals with these things in her everyday life. Hazel Grace is the Protagonist in this story. Augustus Waters (17 years old) also attend the “Literal heart of Jesus” and just so happens to be the “love of Hazel Graces’s life” He previously played basketball but was diagnosed with cancer and became an amputee. The three I feel are the struggles in life and with cancer, Love and dealing with death of a loved one. All three of these topics could be themes to the story. The struggles in life with cancer one is not easy it simply states what it means the disgusting disease will and can ruin your life. Their love towards each other, shows Hazel and Augusts love for one another. These to have unlimited love for each other despite the hardships they are going through. And last but not least, dealing with the death of a loved one…. You must read the book to
