Hook(Anecdote)- “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Franklin Delano Roosevelt said this in his First Inaugural Address to the nation in March 1933. Franklin D. Roosevelt is saying that the only thing that our nation should be scared of is fear itself and nothing else. (Acknowledge)-Critics say and or think that President Roosevelt and his administration did nothing but control the US. (Thesis Statement) The response of FDR’s administration to the problems of the Great Depression was effective because he established many New Deal programs, he revived enterprise, and he proposed better use of lands.
