Fear is a powerful emotion that can have an impact on our thoughts, behaviors, and perceptions. In horror fiction, Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula" is a prime example of a story that has successfully evoked fear in its readers for generations. Stoker's portrayal of Dracula has had a profound impact on the depiction of vampires in Twilight. The character has been altered in many ways for several reasons in the Twilight series.

There are numerous reasons as to why Stephenie Meyer altered the image of Dracula in the series Twilight. Karthick Babu) While there are similarities between Dracula's appearance and Edward's appearance in Twilight, the portrayal of their physical characteristics differs significantly. Dracula's appearance is described as bizarre and terrifying, with sharp features such as a thin nose with weirdly arched nostrils, bushy eyebrows, and oddly pointed ears. His crimson lips and sharp canine teeth add to his menacing appearance. This depiction of Dracula links with the traditional portrayal of vampires as monstrous and frightening creatures. “Bella was hypocritical of the good looks of the Vampire clan when they first saw them: ‘I stared because they were all devastatingly and inhumanly stunning’ because of their different face, so identical. The appearance of Edward is never portrayed as terrifying, as compared to Dracula.” (Dr. R. Karthick Babu) In contrast, Edward's appearance is never portrayed as terrifying. While he shares some physical traits with Dracula, such as his pale skin and sharp teeth, Bella describes him as breathtakingly stunning and mesmerizing. Edward's beauty is more
