I am writing today to encourage you to maintain your position on federal funding for higher education. Federal funding for higher education is considered an externality because it is when someone gets a cost benefit even when not in the market. With that said, providing the funding helps others can share the knowledge you gain from education, to teach others. There are many students that without the funding wouldn’t be able to attend higher education. Without that provided funding, it would create a class system that only middle class and high class would be able get an education. As a nation, we need to create a system that reaches out to the lower class. This is part of the class divide that is occurring is that there isn’t an equal opportunity for all high schoolers.
I am agreeing with you stand on continuing funding for higher education, and fact increasing it. I believe that this is a great way to get all students an equal chance. There are many students that embark on work study, this enabling them to be able to attend college. With adding the funding, it will allow us to give students opportunities and creates a foundation for the next students can thrive with their future endeavors. In a perfect world, there would be funding provided to all students that wanted higher education. In a reality, there are starting to recess federal funding. I want you to continue to fight for the future of American, by not letting any more money be taken away form education but continue to add to the funds.
