From club member to president of UNICEF, I always register UNICEF for the "Feeding the Homeless" event. It is one of my favorite events since I get to see a smile light up on the homeless people as we all come together and treat them a Thanksgiving meal. I remember being assigned to the sleeping bag station, where I handed out sleeping bags to homeless people. The volunteers and I later ran into the problem of not being able to give all the homeless people a sleeping bag. The worst part was hearing a little girl asked her mom, “what happened to all the sleeping bags?” Up to this day, the little girl still has a huge impact on my involvement with the school and UNICEF. Her situation can be seen in developing countries where children do not have access to a proper homes or meals to survive. …show more content…
