Feminism In Kate Chopin's Story Of An Hour

It’s a story about feminism, but because of the low level of development at the early stage, the feminism at that time is not the same as it now, but it’s very closed. Actually in my mind, the writer Kate Chopin is a feminist writer. The story of an hour was written in 1894 by Kate Chopin, and she did some experiment in feminist writing in this article. To be honest, I didn’t get anything when I read this article at the first time, but after several times, I can feel the light atmosphere of the feminism cause the thing what Mrs. Mallard did was not very normal at the time when Kate wrote this article. In my point of view, there are three details to show Kate’s feminism, which are Mrs. Mallard’s desire about freedom, the special way of using the women’s view and using symbolism to show Mrs. Mallard’s hopeless life about fighting for freedom.
As the first part, when I was reading at the middle of this article, there was a paragraph show how is Mrs. Mallard when she had felt a strong desire of freedom. In the most important sentence, Chopin wrote this sentence “When she abandoned herself a little whispered word escaped her slightly parted lips. Mallard’s strong desire about freedom, the special way of using the women’s view and using symbolism to show Mrs. Mallard’s hopeless life about fighting for freedom. These ways showed not only how Mrs. Mallard developed the feminism in her heart, but also the feminism at that time. Moreover, even this article was old, it can still give me something new about feminism, and also strengthen my opinion about feminism. All in all, the story of an hour has shown feminism and improve that Kate Chopin was a feminist writer, she tried a lot in this article and really succeed in this trying. She is really a great writer, especially in feminist
