Women have always been expected to play a housewife role since the beginning of time. There were certain things that were expected of them regardless of the situation. Initially women didn’t have a choice of who they want to marry and spend the rest of their lives with. After turning a certain age they would be practically sold to someone that had asked the girl’s father for his daughters hand in marriage. Regardless of how old the male was or how he looked, if he had the money or property then he would be allowed to arrange a marriage between his own daughter and a male that is interested in his daughter. So by them having a choice and are able to say no to men without any excuses being made. With all of the freedom that’s available now if a man does not respect a females wishes and does it anyways in considered inappropriate behavior. If a man takes it as far as having sex with a female without her consent is considered rape. Once a female is violated in this negative way then she is forever traumatized by what someone did to her without her consent. He states, “When one punishes rape one should be punishing physical violence and nothing but that.
