Film Review - Fight Club
Fight club, a movie with a nerve wrecking plot, a time bomb with interesting events and an ending that will blow your mind away.
The movie is about a man who battles with the life he currently lives. The man 's name is Jack and he suffers from insomnia, which makes his life even harder. In the early part of the movie we watch him deal with this problem by falsely admitting that he is sick with cancer and attending support groups. This helps Jack to sleep at nights and makes him feel included by people with bigger problems than himself. When a woman, Marla, joins the support group, she discovers his secret and is threatening to reveal it. The movie has a great build up throughout the whole movie with a structure around the hunt for the lost male authority. The movie has many twists within the plot and will almost require a second viewing to understand and catch every little part. Fincher uses a wide amount of deception to play with our minds, to reveal what the story is really about.
There are two main characters in Fight Club, the narrator, Jack, is played by Edward Norton and his partner, Tyler, is played by Brad Pitt. Jack is on the edge of losing his sanity by his boring job. At this point, anything in his absence makes him feel alive. With insomnia problems, he finds a way to relief, by going to support groups, where he feels safe. The movie casually floats on where the audience easily gets touched by the sad story.
Jack finds another person in the support groups, Marla, played with a mysterious passion by Helena Bonham Carter. She is described as a person who keeps being there, annoys you, but you still can not let her be. Marla makes a big dent in the narrator 's life, and can easily be blamed for the events in the movie. Jack makes the most of the situation and decides to get on an airplane where he soon meets
