In the advertisement that shown in the picture, we can see that it was written by using the figurative language, we can analyze the figurative language by showing metaphor, simile and symbols that the advertiser 'Maybelline' trademark that used, it is clear that the advertiser used this language to attract the largest number of viewers, because by using figurative language in the advertisement, a complex ad can be so simple and easy for the customer to understand.The advertisement was talking about a beautifying product which is a lip gloss. But the advertiser did not only use the pictures to show the product, he also added an expressive texts. We can see how the advertiser used the figurative language in the sentence which wrote on the left of the ad “Lavish lips” it’s a clear simile the advertiser described the lips with the word lavish and it is a meaningful word to describe such product, also the advertiser used simile when he described the lip gloss “high shine gloss” that the gloss is so shiny to attract the buyers , Also, the advertiser added “molten hot glaze” he described the lip gloss glaze as if it’s molten and hot it’s a powerful simile that the advertiser adds to draw the attention of people. The advertiser wrote “molten hot glaze” in capital letters and in bold to make it very clear for the reader, he knows that adding these expressions will make the advertisement more effective. Under this sentence the advertiser wrote “super saturated color meets ultra clean shine” here the advertiser described the lip gloss features in a beautiful way “super saturated color” it’s a nice imagery when he described the color that it is “super-saturated”, very powerful words have been used, and when he described the shining of the lip gloss with two words “ultra clean”, as well he used imagery when he described the color and the shine as if they are two things that can actually
