Do like Japanese culture as much as I do? Or better yet do you love sushi as much as I do? You probably do like it more than me because I don’t really like sushi myself. If you do then I have the film for you or even if you’re bored and need to waste two hours, then it’s works too. The documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” follows the Jiro unchanging life of Jiro, a world renown chef, his sons and apprentices. The documentary shows what it takes to run the world’s best sushi restaurant and about the people run it. If anything sparked an interest in, you so far then you can agree why this film is worth the watch. One of the key reasons why this film is fantastic is through its production. The film being visually pleasing itself alone is a reason for watching it. It was beautifully filmed without the Hollywood treatment, it wasn’t overly lit. The theme made this film the masterpiece that it is, the theme was in order to succeed you to work hard and be disciplined, this is the reason why Jiro’s restaurant is world renown and has won so many awards, because he strives to be the best he can be at his craft. Him and his apprentices all work under a strict work environment and they all work hard to make sure the sushi they make is worthy to be served to their customers. It is what makes this documentary very inspiring and gives the motivation to work hard and become successful. That leads to other theme to this documentary, to always strive for perfection, that you shouldn’t never be satisfied with your skills, that you should spend your time bettering your skills and master your craft. This documentary would be a good film to watch when you’re about to give up or if you’re stressing
