The movie Some Like it Hot directed by Billy Wilder starring actress Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis as Josephine and Joe Shell Oil Junior, and Jack Lemmon Jerry as Daphne. At the beginning of the play Don Giovanni, the movie starts out with a dramatic crime scene. The gang is reflective of the times of the AL Capone and Elliot Ness rivals. The gang in the movie Some Like it Hot are organized crime. The gang uses the funeral home as an undercover club importing contraband. Despite the gangster's criminal activity, the appear untouchable. The gangsters run free from legal consequence as gangsters bribe law enforcement and attorneys. However, the musical Some Like it Hot was way ahead of its time in the subject matter addressed in the movie. The story is about two male musician friends trying to find a shortcut to fame and fortune. The two musicians Junior and Jack learn females were preferred in the music industry. As a result, to find work, both men, musicians decide to disguise themselves as women named Josephine and Daphne. The male gaze is referenced again in certain parts of the film when on looking the two men dressed as women. However, there were other times when the male womanizer side similar to Don Juan and Don Giovanni share their views of women. For example, the bellhop says he likes large women. Junior confirms while dressed as Josephine “men want anything in a skirt. Both Don Giovanni and Don Juan servants reference to their womanizing ways similar to the character Some Likes it Hot. Although, the movie Some Like it Hot is comical, both Josephine and Daphne deceive the rich man and Sugar without much remorse for their behavior.
