Exploring and looking into the character of God who is depicted in this movie, it is interesting to note that in one scene, God is seen fixing a light in the upper section of a roof of a building that is on the seventh floor. It made me wonder if the seven is referred to as the digit of completion or the heavens. This makes me ask the author why the author chose to show God in a building and not either the real heaven. Also, since God is in disguise, can it be that the homeless man in the movie is God in disguise? My claim is based on the signs that he is shown carrying in the movie, at several occasion throughout the movie.
The (character) God’s words to Bruce “I’ve been waiting for you” and that “I know a lot about you Bruce” suggest that God is not only been waiting on meeting with Bruce but has waited for Bruce to recognize who and what God has put in his life and for what reason. God had been dressed up in disguise and Bruce takes some time to learn that he was no ordinary man but God himself. Bruce is not humble at even meeting with God. Once Bruce has been given powers by God himself, Bruce forgets that has been given the powers for a short amount of time. Stressing on the words by God “be careful what you wish for” makes me wonder. Looking at what kind of God is talking with Bruce, God is witnessed saying “ take a closer walk with me.” It is fascinating to hear God instructing Bruce about free-will that he cannot “mess’ with it. Though God has also instructed him not to tell anyone that he is God, at the same time, the song “I’ve got the power “does relate to man’s human nature of feeling himself proud of that
