The Film : The Last of the Mohicans eventually takes place around the time of 1757 where the French and Indian War ( Seven Year War ) is happening. The France and England people are fighting to take control of the American and the Canadian colonies. As the war happens, the French become allies with the Native American tribes just so they can have an upper hand to the English. This causes the opposite results of what they were expected. There are deaths of English soldiers done by the Indians.The General Montcalm was in charge as a French soldier during the war. There is a tribe which is called the Mohicans where there is 3 guys who rebel by not joint the militia in seek of independence for themselves. When they're on there way to Kentucky they get a glimpse of Indians using the guerrilla attack on the British. The importance of this is because the British have two daughters of a British Colonel with them who they are transporting to Fort William Henry. The Mohicans help by taking the ladies back to their place but the French and Indian War continues. Britain and France was fighting for control over North America and India. The American Indians were on both sides of the battle, picking the side that would win in favor. The British started to have a relationship with the Indians to become allies but the French were left by the Indian allies drastically. The French people were outnumbered when it came to the Northeast frontier by the British colonies. The Fort William Henry is a place where they set up for the attacks against the French.
