For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for the arts – especially film, and the process involved in bringing stories to life from an idea to the page to the screen. I'm intrigued by the art of, and history behind, films, and I love getting consumed by the world of the characters before me. My film knowledge is extensive, ranging from the early silent era, right up to today’s digital cinema. I have a large (and continuously growing) movie collection that spans the history of cinema, as well as vintage projectors and film equipment. The United States has always fascinated me, and it had always been a dream of mine to visit it. I know that I would also thrive amongst like-minded people with whom I could have endless discussions and debates. I also cannot wait to have numerous theatres on my doorstep, where I will be able to share with others a varied choice of creative output. Apart from appreciating cinema, I also enjoy shooting and editing my own videos. I've had my short works that I've completed for school assignments commended by teachers and peers. I’m also a very keen photographer, and have worked with DSLR cameras and 3-D photography. Other hobbies of mine include playing the guitar (both acoustic and electric), as well as collecting various genres of music on vinyl. Up until graduation, I was part of the Media Crew at my high school, and received ongoing praise from my English teachers in respect of my writing skills. I think that language, and the accuracy of its use, is often not taken seriously enough, and I'm sure that many young people have damaged their relationships with quick and inaccurate text messages. A little more time spent on these communications would probably yield better
