In my essay, I will be discussing the use of information technology in a sporting environment. I will be describing how technology can be efficiently and effectively used in this environment, I will also be discussing this example in an operational capacity. I will explain the advantages that it brings to the sport, and the role/function of the technology. The example of technology I will be using will be the ‘instant replay trigger’ method that the NBA (National basketball association) introduced at the beginning of the 2013/2014 season.
