On July 18, 1901 fourteen year old Willie Nickell was found dead. He had been shot near his family's homestead in Cheyenne Wyoming. The gunshot was located on his back his murdering being who we know as Tom Horn. Thomas Horn Jr. also known as “Tom Horn” was born November 21 of 1860 in Scotland County, MO. His parents are Thomas S. Horn and Mary Ann Maricha Horn. He was raised along with his eleven other siblings not including himself but only eight in total survived childhood. His family was considered to be dysfunctional. Tom was of German descent as well as the fact he was born into a bilingual family.
