Explain the difference between climate, weather, and meteorology.

The first thing most people think of when meteorology is brought up is the weather man. For most, the weather is just a day to day occurrence that “weather men” predict. There is more to be learned about the weather then just an everyday occurrence. In this report, I will be explaining the difference between climate, weather, and meteorology. It will shed light on the fact that there is more to know about meteorology.

It starts by warm moist air growing and condensing into a cloud. This cloud will grow even greater as long as there is still warm air below it for it to continue to rise. The cloud becomes very large and the water the cloud is holding is even heavier. Rain will begin to fall when the rising air can no longer withstand their weight. If cold dry air enters the cloud the downdraft pulls the water toward the ground. Lightning and thunder will begin as heavy rain is falling. In a short while the intensity decreases and the thunderstorm comes to an end. It occurs because the downdraft in the cloud overpowers the updraft. The storm will start to die out with slight rain. The reason the storm stopped was because the updraft overpowered the downdraft. In a supercell storm there is a titled updraft. This means that the updraft and downdraft will separate and the precipitation will continue to fall. As long as there is a balance in air flow then the storm lives on.
