For my final project I will be doing my work over one of the islands state park called the Iao Valley State Monument. I will be talking about what was my inspiration for my work, three goals of the course that ties with this project and also how is connects with the material we went over. Since this is one of the most popular state parks on the island I thought it would be perfect for this project. The beauty and scenery of mother natures valley is what inspired me to my project over this park. One things I miss the most about home is it’s beauty. WIth that I agree because the state parks on our islands are very important to our community in many ways.
For this project I had to choose three goals from the course and the first of the three goals that I will be going over is, “How do we engage in creative spirit?” This park offers a quite a bit of mother nature and people in the community likes coming to the park for its mother nature. People can come to this park and see all the beauties the islands had to offer. From waterfalls, to a botanical garden, to bike trails, fish ponds and a wide range of flowers. This park are usually packed on the weekends, and by this one could see how the community get engage in the creative spirit.
The second goal I will be going over is, “How do the creative spirit connect and link us to each other?” Since this park offers a lot of amenities such as, party venues, picnic tables, restrooms, a wide range of open space areas, people holds local events, parties, even gatherings here at the park. People in the community can come here and get connected with each other and the culture.
