The corporation I chose, was Wells Fargo. Their motto is “Together We’ll Go Far”, and their logo is the name of the bank, “Wells Fargo”, with a picture of a stagecoach being pulled by six horses. This new company offered banking and an express to people when it first went into business during the gold rush. Through their banking system, they bought gold and sold paper bank drafts that had the equal value of gold. Their express system allowed them to deliver gold or other things that held a lot of value in a very rapid way. The first office that opened, was in San Francisco’s gold rush port and from there they opened more offices in mining camps and cities of the west. They earned a trust reputation during the economic boom of the 1850’s, since they dealt with people’s money in a fast and responsible way.
