It was a lot of fun reading all your short stories and I’m really glad that we did this assignment. In all the English classes that I’ve had in the past, everything we did was based off of reading literature and writing standard five-paragraph essays. It was very nice to have a change and show off our creativity. In today’s world, it seems like we have lost the ability to let loose and do what we want sometimes. A lot of what we do is dictated by others, but in assignments such as this one, we have a lot of freedom in what we write about. All the stories written by my peers were very interesting and well-written. There were a couple of themes however. One of the most prevalent themes was the theme of love and finding love. In Natalie’s story, the lines, “He was speechless, only ecstasy was on his mind. From that night on Will spent much of his time at parties and various events searching for his seductress but that’s another story!” show, not love but lust. On the other hand, Mai’s story is about finding love, with the lines, “Bed time approaches and Bailey is put to sleep. With nobody in the house, William is left with his own thoughts. He can’t stop thinking about Tattianna and the endless possibilities of what can be going wrong in her life. So he finds her on PalmBook and adds her. About thirty minutes go by and Tattianna accepted his friend request”. It was very interesting to find out about the different turns that these short stories could take even
